Forza Street is a free-to-play racing game developed by Electric Square that was initially released for Windows 10 as Miami Street on May 8, 2018. The game was re-branded as a Forza title on April 15, 2019, and was also released for iOS and Android on May 5, 2020. A Nintendo Switch version of the game has also been rumoured to be in development. Forza Street uses Unreal Engine 4, unlike the series' in-house engine, ForzaTech. Unlike the main Motorsport and Horizon titles, Street features short, quick street races, and is meant to be played on low-end devices. Game-play involves players controlling only the acceleration and braking by pressing and releasing a button or a touch screen; steering is handled automatically.
Players can also use nitrous to give their cars a speed boost. There is no definite cover car, as the app icon changes the cars out based on what special event is going on. If you are a fan of high-speed racing, drool over the many luxury supercars featured in Forza Motorsport 5 for Microsoft Xbox One. This 2013 version of the video game comes with a new graphics engine that provides stunningly realistic renderings of metal, glass, rubber, concrete, and leather surfaces.
High-resolution 1080p modeling displays every inch of the damage caused by major accidents and minor scrapes with other vehicles. Developed by Turn 10 Studios, the game's commentary narration features the stars of TV's "Top Gear" and an original score that weaves percussion and electronica. You will have the chance to drive 200 cars, including several open-wheel models, a first for the Forza series.The game includes models manufactured by more than 50 different car brands. Forza Horizon was developed for the Xbox 360 and is the first open-world game in the series.
It is based around a fictitious festival called the Horizon Festival, set in the U.S. state of Colorado. The game incorporates many different gameplay aspects from previous Forza Motorsport titles, like the large variety of cars, realistic physics and high definition graphics. The aim is to progress through the game by means of obtaining "Wristbands" by driving fast, destroying property, winning races and other driving antics. Horizon features the physics of Forza Motorsport 4, which have been optimised to work on the 65 variants of terrain said to be present in the game.
Players can drive off-road in select areas, while others are limited by guardrails or other means. Horizon allows the player to modify the car that is selected from the garage by changing numerous features both internally and externally on a car. One can also obtain cars by winning races with random drivers on the street, by winning larger competitive races, and by finding barns that contain treasure cars that cannot otherwise be bought through the game's 'Auto-show' or through racing. The game is compatible with the Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
Is Forza Horizon 5 Available On Xbox 360 The 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS was the cover car, which also makes it the first cover car for the Horizon series. But considering the long wait for GT5—six years in development! However, if you like your digital racing as difficult and as real as possible, GT5's flaws can be looked at like buying a 3-series and being told that, over the next year or so, it will gradually be upgraded for free to an M3.
In addition, recent reports suggest that additional cars or tracks may become available—they'll likely cost extra—and that updates to the game to add, say, capability to upload video might begin to come monthly. One of Forza's attractive racing game sets must mention the "Forza Motorsport 4" arcade game right away. These are races conducted on closed-circuit tracks with over 500 cars pre-set in the game. With the super standard 3D graphics set of this game, players can track attractive speed indicators on the screen.
Compared to the previous versions, the game has a cockpit view to increasing authenticity during the competition, all activities in the saddle will be synchronized with the player control. Within each sector, the number of turns, the width of the road surface, and the severity of the corners can be dialed in. Choose the weather and the time of day, and you're off racing on your new track. It is playable on the Xbox 360 via backwards compatibility on the newer platform.
It features 231 cars and multiple real-world and fictional racecourses. The Honda NSX and a tuned Nissan 350Z are the cover vehicles. Until 2019, each installment of the franchise series have alternated on a biennial basis; the Motorsport entries were released in odd-numbered years, while the Horizon entries were released in even-numbered years.
This pattern was altered due to the absence of a new Motorsport game in 2019. The game features a route creator which enables players to create their own races. The game takes place in a synchronized shared world, compared to the AI-driven 'avatars' from its predecessors, with each server supporting up to 72 players. However, a number of critics complained about the relative lack of content versus its predecessor, Forza Motorsport 4.
Matthew Kato of Game Informer called the game's revised career mode "a mistake" and that Forza Motorsport 5 "takes a big step forward only to be held back by what it has removed". Writing for EGM, Ray Carsillo said that while the game "maintains the tradition of providing great control along with some stunningly realistic graphics", ultimately it was "a surprising step backward for the Forza franchise". Back when I started playing these games, I gave Forza Motorsport 2 on the 360 a go and was hooked instantly. Then I played Gran Turismo 5 on PS3 and it was the opposite experience. It was hard to progress in that game, you had to have certain cars, which meant that you had to grind a lot in order to access the next races. Moreover, the menu was a mess and it didn't have a rewind feature.
I tried giving Gran Turismo 6 a shot but it's apparently not even playable on PS3 anymore since there are so many patches to download that you can't even download them, it just stops downloading after a while. Forza Motorsport 3 may not be as new as Gran Turismo 5, but it is still very good. It features more than 400 cars rendered to an identically high level of detail—including interiors—and all the cars are fully customizable and susceptible to cosmetic and mechanical damage. Players can create their own custom graphics packages to dress up the exteriors of their cars in astonishing detail; entire communities have sprung up devoted to creating the coolest or most historically accurate liveries. There are dozens of additional cars available for download in bundled packs ($5 to $10 per pack, although a few are free), and you can buy other players' successfully tuned or fantastically decorated cars using game credits as currency. It was sad when I saw people's responses that this game seemed small to them.
When I was looking at Forza 2 and all the previous launch titles, I was so proud of what we'd done. I'd never felt so disconnected from my fanbase, which was a really sad moment for me. I wasn't looking at it relative to Forza 4, I was looking at it relative to every other racing game that's been launched alongside a console. We have a lot of people playing that are brand new to the franchise that have never been in. So that's part of the assumptions that we got wrong - we've got a lot of people that aren't playing the way Forza 4 was played by our fans. We're going to be using it as an experimentation platform, tuning the economy, tuning the features.
Ultimately, the whole goal of the product is about getting people to have relationships with cars- that's why we got rid of gift cars, that's why we changed the way people earned out, that's why we allowed you to earn credits in free play. That's why affinity pays so much more than it has in the past. Forza Motorsport 7 was developed for Windows 10 and Xbox One. This game includes many tracks, including the return of Maple Valley Raceway, the fictional track last included in Forza Motorsport 4. Forza Motorsport 7 has the largest set of playable vehicles of any Forza game to date, at 830 cars. 700 cars are included in the base game, while 130 were later added as downloadable content.
Lapping Laguna in both games supported our conclusion that Gran Turismo 5 is the more challenging of the two, punishing players with its slavish adherence to real-world physics and handling, and both drivers turned in higher lap times than in Forza. Forza, conversely, made us look like pros, its vehicle-dynamics model allowing for often unrealistic cornering speeds. Cooking into corners with the VW in GT5 also sent us realistically understeering through them. Terrible online, on which, in principle, the whole game is tied, disconnects and few players in sessions who, moreover, disappear. The new Forza Horizon is here, but the word "new" must be handled with care.
For the most part, the fifth part is the same as the fourth. The content has just swelled in all aspects, the career has deepened its storytelling and fans of multiplayer and shared experiences have even more options to get rid of it. This is the fullest part ever with the potential to entertain you for years to come, and since the four are among the best racing games of all time, its slight evolution can't be any different. The game ships with 200 cars from over 50 manufacturers and 17 circuits including Spa, Bathurst, Yas Marina, and Circuit de la Sarthe. There are monthly car packs, including 10 cars each available to buy as downloadable content for the first 8 months after the game's launch. So yeah, I've pretty much given up on Gran Turismo and I vastly prefer Forza, both Motorsport and Horizon. I mean, the rewind feature alone is enough to keep me wanting to play these games because I'm not that good at racing games. But I enjoy them a lot, especially when I put on a podcast in the background and then do a bunch of races. It's great fun and I'm looking forward to playing the next Forza Motorsport.
To dig deeper into the subtle differences between the games—and to find an excuse to continue labeling time spent playing video games as "work"—we ran some laps on the same track in the same cars in both games. We took turns lapping Laguna Seca in one front-drive car and one rear-driver, the 10Best Cars–winning Mk V Volkswagen GTI and E92 BMW M3. In Forza, there are fewer aspects of the game to tweak, but those that are present feel as if they would have more impact on the game's difficulty.
As if to drive home the idea that Forza is the better dance between racing simulator and arcade game, a rewind option rides shotgun during races, allowing players to give themselves a do-over. No worries; simply rewind and set up for the corner properly this time. Also due alongside the new patch are new multiplayer modes, with drag racing being reintroduced as well as an official tag feature.That felt like it was not making the car exclusive enough for those who are willing to pay.
So we made car tokens equal to credits - it's not about making more money, it was actually about saving people's time when doing the grind. That's not how we make the revenue - we sell the game, and the tokens aren't a big revenue driver. As a creative director, we were looking at it as basically giving people cheats, but if you want to put cheats in you have to pay for them, which puts a barrier in and makes it exclusive to those who want to pay for them. Forza Motorsport 5 is a racing video game starring 190 of the world's greatest cars and 14 laser-scanned tracks for millimeter accuracy. It is a launch title built from the ground up to take advantage of Xbox One, with 60fps at 1080p resolution.
If Xbox is your platform of choice, the Forza series should already be pretty familiar to you. Forza Motorsport 5, in particular, was a hyped launch title for the console all the way back in 2013. The game offers up hundreds of cars to race on tracks around the world, and it laid the groundwork for Forza titles on Xbox One.

My take is Gran Turismo has always been the best realistic driving sim. The way the cars feel and handle, as well as the way you can modify them, it's just all very true to the real car enthusiast racing experience. As for Forza, it's always been more of a fantasy game. The physics aren't as realistic but the modifying can get so expansive to where you can do things that are essentially dream car projects, things that GT has never allowed such as drivetrain and engine swaps. Whether you prefer the visuals of one or the other, the tracks, the cars, the modes etc will come down to preference. As I said, I prefer 'Forza' because for me, it aligns more to what I want from a Racing Sim game.
I want to have 'fun', dive up the inside and force my way ahead if I can sometimes and NOT get 'punished' as its NOT a real race with real people at risk... GT5 is marketed as a simulator, and its physics model is extremely realistic. The behavior of the cars is startlingly faithful to their real-life counterparts, so they respond accordingly to poor driving and when you miss critical braking and turn-in points. In contrast, Forza is extremely forgiving and provides a much larger margin of error.

To make it easier for beginners, however, GT5 boasts an army of adjustable driver assists that would make even Mercedes-Benz jealous. Additionally, you can determine whether tire wear and fuel level affect your car's performance, as well as how much wet roads and off-track surfaces degrade grip levels. Rather than simply offering the choice of turning driver's aids on or off—as Forza does—GT5 lets you fine-tune them, adjusting their strength from 1 to 10.
You'll be rewarded for finishing a race series, for placing well in events in all of the gaming modes. You'll get credits from multiplayer, from split-screen racing with friends, but it's going to take you a long time to get the millions of credits you might need to buy an X-class car. Beyond just the graphics, the game feels very smooth while maintaining 60 frames per second with a 1080p resolution. While playing, I never noticed any hiccups whatsoever, which is very impressive for a launch title running at 60 frames per second. Sometimes you may just get in the zone and forget about everything else around you due to the immersive experience you will feel in each race.
One thing to remember with the Forza series is that you can't go in expecting it to be a Mario Kart like racer. Unlike arcade style racers, Forza is a lot more realistic in pretty much every aspect. You can't make wide turns and expect not to spin out or run off the track.
